|The 8th Annual 'Lend Me An Ear!'|
A benefit for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Just in time for Halloween, the Tri-Union Radio Players of AFTRA, SAG, and Equity will once again be offering their talents to the yearly fundraiser for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the 8th Annual “Lend Me an Ear”, a night of Old Time Radio recreations. This year’s theme is scary, suspenseful, and spine-tingling: “Hi-Fi Sci-Fi and Horror!”
AND WE HAVE GREAT NEWS! We’re adding a second night! In addition to our usual venue, the New American Shakespeare Tavern in Atlanta, The Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Buckhead has also graciously offered the use of their Fellowship Hall for the benefit of the ACFB!
The dates of the shows are:
Monday, October 24 at 7:30PM (doors open 6:15PM) at the Shakespeare Tavern
Tuesday, October 25 at 7:30PM (doors open 6:45PM) at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church
The program includes fan favorite Buck Rogers in the 25th Century directed by Doug Kaye; 2 thrillers penned by the notorious Arch Oboler for his program Lights Out (directors Jon Hayden and Barry Stoltze); the famous short story “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson directed by Sheri Mann Stewart; and X Minus One with a humorous extraterrestrial tale from the future entitled “Venus Is a Man’s World”, directed by Karen Beyer. Terror, mystery, and space-age intrigue will abound!
Come join in the laughter and celebrate
America's Golden Age of Radio!
